Welcome To A New Life

The day we surrender to recovery is the day we surrender to this new life. The quicker we allow God to tear down our defensive walls that protected us while in our addiction the quicker we are introduced to this new life.

Not reverting back to the old life will be our challenge. Learning how to face our fears and put one foot in front of the other will be our goal. The good news is we don’t have to face these obstacles alone. God has surrounded us with people that have paved the way and traveled on roads that are foreign to us but must travel.

Fear can no longer be apart off our life. Knowing God did not bring us this far to let us go helps us to walk boldly through life’s ups and downs. So we smile in the midst of our trials, knowing that it is only a test. Some days will be better than others and when I don’t pass the test that’s set before me, I don’t beat myself up, knowing that the test will be given again. There is no failure in God, every day in this new life is better than the day before.

Stay Woke: “Count it all joy, my brothers, when you meet trials of various kinds, for you know that the testing of your faith produces steadfastness, dedication and commitment.
